Providing psychiatric care for women, children and neurodivergent minds across the lifespan
Hormonal changes, life transitions, and changing developmental needs all impact mental health, at any age.
I provide psychiatric care for women across the lifespan, with a particular focus on the perinatal period through menopause. I also work with children and adolescents navigating ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges and autism.
Whether it is adjusting to postpartum life, managing perimenopausal symptoms, or advocating for your child’s care, I work closely with families to provide collaborative care that is evidence-based and tailored to your family’s needs.
My services include psychiatric assessments and evaluations, short term solution focused psychotherapy, medication management when appropriate, and follow-up care to support lasting well-being.
Carolyn Rodriguez, MSN, PMHNP-BC, RNC-OB
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental health Nurse Practitioner with a deep commitment to supporting women, children, and families across the lifespan. Before transitioning into psychiatric care, I spent 17 years as a labor and delivery nurse where I saw the many ways emotional wellbeing, hormones, and family dynamics shape some of life’s most pivotal moments.
Over time, I saw how mental health challenges like postpartum anxiety, depression, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation often show up quietly but can carry a loud impact on daily life. This is what led me to specialize in perinatal mood disorders, pediatric psychiatry and ADHD management and assessment. These are areas where evidence-based care and compassionate support can make profound differences.
My approach is straightforward and collaborative. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, short-term psychotherapy, and medication management with the option for pharmacogenomic testing to better tailor treatment. I believe in clear communication, practical planning and supporting the whole person within the family system, not just the symptoms.
As both a provider and a mom, I understand the blessings and the chaos of raising neurospicy kids. My home is full of curiosity, strong opinions, and sticky hands and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I am not seeing clients, I am usually adventuring outdoors with my family and finding new ways to get messy and lean into the beautiful mess of real life.
